In the video, shared on TikTok Thursday by the dog’s owner under the username Lifewithchompers, the Pitbull pup can be seen kneading his favorite fur blanket, enjoying his owner’s pets with sleepy eyes.

The viral clip comes with a caption that says: “The cutest little biscuits making blanket obsessed puppy,” followed by: “He can do this forever until falling asleep.”

According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), blankets are soft and warm and remind dogs of their mothers. Some dogs knead the blankets in an affectionate way to help move them into a close position they can lie on. Stuffed toys, pillows, or a piece of their owner’s clothing will also do the trick.

Petkeen says that dogs may also be kneading in an effort to control the temperature. Because they do not have sweat glands as we do, they need to knead in order to increase surface area to cool off.

They may also knead if they are too cold, in order to arrange their surface area to shape their body to form a warming cocoon.

Often dogs will be seen sucking on something while they knead, and many theorize that this is their primal need to act like they are getting milk from their mother.

The video quickly went viral attracting dog lovers from all over the platform, and it has received over 930,200 views and 138,200 likes in less than a day.
