Former Purdue football player Alex Hilger made the complaint to West Lafayette police on Sept. 11 after Patterson allegedly punched him in the face during a dispute over borrowed property. Patterson admitted to punching Hilger, according to The Indianapolis Star.

Patterson was not in attendance for Purdue’s 24-14 victory over Nevada on Sunday and did not practice Tuesday. However, Purdue coach Darrell Hazell said he plans on having Patterson back this season.
